Trying something!

So last night Michael and I had a long talk about our debt! We have been doing ok with it! I know we can do a lot better! So we went and found our power strips and plug them all in. So this AM we went around and turn off all of our "STUFF" TV,VCR, Raido, Cable box, Towster, and computer's! We live in FL so it can get HOT we have alway put the AC up when we leave the house to 80 well we are at work and and put it back to 77 when we get home. I just paid our last month bill and that was 111.54 and the month before that was 105.77. So we are trying to get our bill down under 100.00 this month. So will see if this helps with our electric bill this month!!! I'll let ya know what happens.

Our Story!

Ok, so I have been looking at the blog and notice that I really hadn't told "our story"
So here we go. I'm Lindsey 29 Ahhhhhh at the whole 29 thing. I'll be 30 June 30th. anyway I'm married to Michael 36 Amost 6 years ago. We were Married May 25th 2002. I love him more and more every day. He is my best friend my solemate. Ok now i'm all sappy on ya. lol 10 months later we had our wonderful daughter Reilly! Who by the way is amost 5 in 20 days March 13th. Right now we live in Sunny Florida! Ugh. This is what brought on our Debt free juorney! My side of the famaily live up in IL where I grew up. Michael side lives down here in FL. Don't get me wrong I get along great with his side. However I miss my mom and dad sooooo much. That I have wanted to move to IL since we got married! So one night back in late Auguest We had a HUGE fight. Over about us moving. Well it came down to that we had to be at least 1/2 way out of debt before we move. So that got me motovated to stop spending and start paying off debt. I'm always on Cafemom.com and found a wonderful group called Dave Ramsey fan. Well I'm soooo glad I did. He has tought Michael and I both on how to get out of this debt that we are under! They are called baby steps. Right now we are on baby step #2 Debt Snowball. When we started our debt we had over 36,000 Dollars of debt. Thanks to we are now down to 30,000 Thanks to a tax refund that we got!!! As of January our goal is to pay off 1/2 of our debt by the end of the year! So far so good!!! Boy dose it feel good to just think that in 2 yrs that we could be 100% debt free but our house.

ING Account!

So Monday I set up a ING Direct savings account. Its online bank! I have it now set up to take 50.00 per pay day. So thats 100.00 month into savings! I'm not sure what we are going to do with that money. Prob use it for christmas. Or use it if we have a baby this year.
