Our Story!

Ok, so I have been looking at the blog and notice that I really hadn't told "our story"
So here we go. I'm Lindsey 29 Ahhhhhh at the whole 29 thing. I'll be 30 June 30th. anyway I'm married to Michael 36 Amost 6 years ago. We were Married May 25th 2002. I love him more and more every day. He is my best friend my solemate. Ok now i'm all sappy on ya. lol 10 months later we had our wonderful daughter Reilly! Who by the way is amost 5 in 20 days March 13th. Right now we live in Sunny Florida! Ugh. This is what brought on our Debt free juorney! My side of the famaily live up in IL where I grew up. Michael side lives down here in FL. Don't get me wrong I get along great with his side. However I miss my mom and dad sooooo much. That I have wanted to move to IL since we got married! So one night back in late Auguest We had a HUGE fight. Over about us moving. Well it came down to that we had to be at least 1/2 way out of debt before we move. So that got me motovated to stop spending and start paying off debt. I'm always on Cafemom.com and found a wonderful group called Dave Ramsey fan. Well I'm soooo glad I did. He has tought Michael and I both on how to get out of this debt that we are under! They are called baby steps. Right now we are on baby step #2 Debt Snowball. When we started our debt we had over 36,000 Dollars of debt. Thanks to we are now down to 30,000 Thanks to a tax refund that we got!!! As of January our goal is to pay off 1/2 of our debt by the end of the year! So far so good!!! Boy dose it feel good to just think that in 2 yrs that we could be 100% debt free but our house.

ING Account!

So Monday I set up a ING Direct savings account. Its online bank! I have it now set up to take 50.00 per pay day. So thats 100.00 month into savings! I'm not sure what we are going to do with that money. Prob use it for christmas. Or use it if we have a baby this year.

Closed BOA Credit CARD!!!

Boy what fun that was!!! NOT! I was on the phone for almost 15 mins! Repeating my info to 3 diffrent people on why I wanted to close the card!!! They said that it wasn't paid off and I said yes i made a payment with check 837 for the full amount!O. with in 24hrs it will be closed! Woooo hoo what a AWESOME Feeling to know that 1 card is closed for sure!

I'm still not sure if we are going to close the lowes credit card or not! We do have our 1000.00 EF if something happens but i'm just not sure if i really want to close it! We could just keep it in our lock box and if we need if for Emergency we can use it if it is over 1000.00. and if its for the house!

Like I said yestorday our tax return came yestorday afternoon!!! So i just got done writing out 3 check and calling 1! Good by Medical bill of 225.00 that was left on it. It was well over 400 when we started our debt snowball!!! and that add 25.00 a month to the showball! Good by Dog payment. We bought the dog from my sister in law last year for reilly's birthday. it was 1000.00 and we have 600.00 left on it. I know she is happy to have that money. we were trying to pay 50.00 a month but we never see her so it was hard to get her the money! So that add 50.00 to the snowball!! Good by Bank of America credit card!! thats 1169.36 left! and adding 44.00 to snow ball and last but not least lowe's credit card that had 1208.97 left!!! and adding 15.00. so paying of 3203.33 and adding 135.00 to our debt snowball. next bill to work on is the Macy card. that is only around 637.00 or soo. with our Snowball being 255.00 that should be paid off in about 3 months! then on to Disney credit card!!!! boy dose it feel good! like a big wight off your back. We are getting there. We will be debt free 1 day!

OUR TAX RETURN IS HERE!!!

WOOOO HOOO OUR TAX RETURN POSTED TO THE BANK THIS AFTERNOON!!! WOOO HOO FIRST STOP PAY SISTER IN LAW FOR CASEY!!! THEN TOMORROW OFF TO PAY THE REST OF THE BILLS THAT WE ARE GOING TO PAY WITH THIS TAX RETURN!!! I'M SOOO EXCITED!!!

Tax Refund

Ugh, Still waiting for the tax refund to come!!! It should be deposit into the bank on the 15th!!! Man I sure was hopeing it was going to come early. But I guess not!! I WANT MY MONEY!!! LOL!!! Just 2 more days!!! just 2 more days!!!

Tax Refund

So I file our Taxes yestorday afternoon. I was in shock when I file. Why becuase of the amount of money we are going to get back!!! 5109.00!! Yes thats right 5109.00. So we are going to be able to pay off
Medical bill thats at 225.00
the Dog bill thats at 600.00
the BOA bill thats at 1169.00
and Lowes thats at 1207.00
O take out about 500.00 for our Disney trip and another 500.00 for a exhaust for michael four wheeler. yeah i know the exhaust is not a bill but he let my buy my Camera last year. So this year he get something. The money we have left over i'm putting it away for MAC laptop fund. I'm going to have a laptop sometime this year!!! I have been saying that for what 2 yrs now and I still don't have a laptop! but now I have made up my mind on what one I want and thats is a MAC!!! witch it the mack daddy of them all..lol I know I could use the reminder of the money and put it towards a bill but I have been wanting a laptop for soooooo long! I think paying off 4 bills is pertty darn good!
